Thanks very much for your comment Rab.I use one layer for the drawing, one for the face.Another layer for the hair.In this drawing I used layers also for the necklace ,clothes and the background...that's...six layers in total.I find it's easier to use layers than try and do the whole thing on one.... For the affect I use the colours at very low opacity...hope this is of use?
