I've just received my quarterly magazine "Exagerated Features " from the International Society of Caricature Artists.In it there is an article by the very talented Johanna Veerenhuis-Lens (www.hetveerenhuis.nl)where she shows the steps to do 3D sculptures...so having some time and some plasticine I thought I'd try it...here is the result !! hope you like it

After doing about twenty drawings I realised it was too much work and put the idea to one side. Tonight I was looking through some old files and found them. Something a little different

I have my own joinery shop and make all sorts...stairs ,windows ,doors you name it..A friend ,also a joiner, has a daughter who is expecting a baby and she wanted her dad to make a cotbed for the baby.Every Friday morning for the last couple of weeks we have been busy making the cot...yesterday we finished it.Here it is cramped up ready for final assembly and then it is being painted.Hope you like it...

First Year.!!!

Well the blog has been going now for one year !!!! much to my surprise....
I seem to have spells of posting a lot followed by weeks of nothing...but c'est la vie as they say .....lol

On the Artrage forum one of the threads is to draw a funny imitation of a famous artist and there work...I chose John Singer Sargent a famous American potrait painter who worked in Paris until he painted Madam X ...this picture was thought to be so provocative that he had to leave France....this is my take on it....hope you like it...

Artrage e-book
