Remy is the rat that wants to be a chef in the 2007 Pixar/Disney film Ratatouille.. as a child I  wanted to work for Disney !!!!! and make animated films but............
my favourite film is Snow White and the seven dwarves , but when Ratatouille was advertised I couldn't wait to see it...but as usual it had gone from the cinema by the time I realised it had been on..so I pre-ordered the dvd and guess what!!! still haven't watched it.
But that hadn't stopped me from drawing Remy....

My first recollection of Robin Hood was on tv, played by Richard Greene and he has always been my favourite actor in this role....However the BBC brought a new series of Robin Hood out a few years ago and this time Robin was played by Jonas Armstrong and I have to say I really enjoyed the series...so here is Jonas...

Each year I change the blog header and try to do something different...
The blog is called Cartoonmans blog, but regular visitors will know that there are very few cartoons on the blog....thats not to say I don't draw them,I do, but usually as commissioned pieces and not for my blog.
So where is all this leading...I hear you ask...dont I ?
well you will notice that the new header invites you to enjoy the Art of John Fisher..(thats me) which will encompass all the drawing I do.

Steve Prescott..M.B.E....R.I.P

Steve was a rugby league player ..who played for his home town team St Helens...he was diagnosed with a rare form of stomach cancer seven years ago.Instead of sitting around doing nothing ,Steve set up the Steve Prescott Foundation  to raise money for cancer research and rugby league.
He set himself and completed so many challenges that he astounded everyone and raised half a million pounds.....no mean fete for someone battling cancer.
Sadly on Saturday 9th November Steve passed away..but he will always be remembered both here in St Helens across the whole rugby league community , the sporting world and the world in general...a real Superman...
