Aretha Franklin..2009/2013

The first coloured drawing (caricature/portrait ) I did using a computer programme and a wacom tablet was Aretha Franklin back in 2009 ,so I thought I'd do the same drawing and see what the difference is..I hope you see an improvement,although the likeness is missing somewhere in the new one....

her first official portrait was unveiled this week, and to be honest I dont like it.It doesn't represent for me anyway a young 21st century person,especially someone who is so well known and the future of the Royal family....

not saying mine is brilliant but I hope it looks enough like a young princess who is enjoying life...you decide !!!

I read the trilogy of books by Stieg Larsson starting with The girl with the Dragon Tattoo.. and yesterday saw the film starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara who plays the role of Lisbeth Salander..

the books are well worth reading and the film wasn't bad either..
