Saturday..........

On Saturday a friend of mine had organised his first biker rally for the motorbike club he belongs to. He asked me a couple of months ago to come along and set up a stand with some of my caricatures, with a view to making some sales....
So Saturday morning saw me and my wife at the rugby club in Moore village near Warrington armed with gazebo,stands ,leaflets and cards not knowing what to expect as this was something completely new to us...
The weather was kind all the time we where there and although we didn't take any orders plenty of people showed interest and lots of leaflets and cards where taken...so fingers crossed.
We met some very nice people and learnt a great deal..so if we ever do something like this again we will be better prepared...

I'm not sure how this one came about...I was searching google for someone to draw and saw a reference to Eric Morecambe....which led to Morecambe and Wise..which led to this...
it was a sketch from the 1971 Christmas show with the famous conductor Andre Previn...I remeb

mber laughing out loud  when it was first on ,and watched it again last night on you tube...still very funny...worth watching...go to you tube search Morecambe and Wise with Andre Previn..or was the Prevue or Privet......anyway enjoy...
by the way the reason for the blurred violinist in the back ,is he is really having a good laugh  at the goings on...

It was great again to find I'd won the monthly caricature comp on the ccgb site,with my Marilyn Monroe..
I know that perhaps to many it might not mean a great deal but when I started to "try" and draw caricatures I never thought I would enter any competitions never mind win any....so I'm well pleased ..a great start to the week end,just need my rugby league team to win tonight..perfect....
